Corey Acosta

Corey graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 2014, and upon graduation was accepted into the University of Tennessee Dental School. However, he elected to first pursue his professional football career, and signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers in May of 2015.  During the off season, Corey spent his time working as a special projects manager for a dental practice in the Memphis area.  After being released from the San Francisco in May of 2016, Corey joined Prather, White & McGowan as a financial advisor while regaining admission to dental school in August of 2017.
Growing up in a family full of medical professionals, and having worked in both the management and financial sides of medicine, Corey has a unique understanding of the challenges and time constraints that physicians and dentists face on both the personal and professional level.

Corey's wife is currently in her Clinical Doctorate program for Audiology at the University of Memphis, and together they enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and maintaining a high level of physical fitness. Corey coaches younger football players in the Memphis area in order to pass along his knowledge and passion for the sport that helped shape him into the person he is today.
